Dubai is getting a new second hand market and this one is for all the bargain hunters out there.

The Dubai Municipality announced on Sunday, September 24th 2017 that the construction on a new second hand furniture and utensils market is finished and open dates will soon be announced.

The new market consists of 120 shops in Nad Al Sheba 3 and is part of an initiative to make second hand goods more easily accessible to the general public and re-exporting companies and in turn help create an environmentally sustainable city and build a green economy.

In addition to the second hand furniture market, an 11 hectares scrap market for building materials will also be opening up in Warsan. In addition to the facilities mentioned above, the scrap market will also feature a mosque, truck parking and loading and unloading zones.

Combined these projects are worth AED 177 million and is just in time to help residents save a bit extra money with the new VAT regulations that will be implemented as of next year.
